April-June 2008 What's New
  • In response to the workforce impact of recent floods, CareerOneStop, in conjunction with the U.S. Department of Labor, Employment and Training Administration, has developed the Disaster Recovery Services Web site.
    www.CareerOneStop.org/DisasterRecoveryServices

Disaster Recovery Services provides one-stop access to resources, services and Web-based tools related to both workforce and disaster information. This resource targets flood victims and those assisting them. The site lists national resources as well as resources specific to the states of Arkansas, Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, Missouri, and Wisconsin.

  • Check out the new and improved Career Tools on CareerOneStop:
Salary Tool - Find National, State and Regional salary information for hundreds of occupations.
Career Exploration Tool - Navigate the career exploration process in five manageable steps.
Certification Finder - Certifications are examinations that test or enhance your knowledge, experience, or skills in an occupation or profession. This directory allows you to search for certifications by keyword, industry, or occupation.

  • Searching on CareerOneStop just got easier. The updated search functions allow you to find what you need easier and faster on CareerOneStop.

  • A new Refugee Mapping Tool has been released. You can now create customized maps of where refugees have resettled in the United States over the past several years.

  • CareerOneStop’s Regional Economic Development site now features the Asset Mapping Roadmap — an online guide to the asset mapping process. This tool will help you start identifying your region’s key assets, which is often the first step in regional economic development.
January-March 2008 Updates
  • CareerOneStop launches its' first Web service to Minnesota's ISEEK Web site. Certification information is now available on the ISEEK.org site and available to users.
  • Check out the redesigned Fastest-Growing occupations report. This easy-to-use report allows you to create a chart of the occupations expected to grow the fastest over the next several years. Information can be filtered by education levels or state.
